South Essex Homes have currently surveyed 85% of the housing stock. We are currently undertaking further surveys to take us to 100%. Stock Condition Surveys
It is essential for South Essex Homes to have updated stock condition information and to provide accurate information on the condition of properties they manage, so that we can monitor the Decent Homes position for reporting purposes, for generating programmes of work in future years, and for providing a robust effective day to day service for our residents.
Properties are identified by Asset Management for a Stock Survey via the APEX Asset Management system which lists properties that have yet to be surveyed, or are due a survey.

Q. Can I have an appointment for the survey?
A. Yes. We will agree an AM or PM appointment at a convienent date. We are also able to accomodate special needs where applicable.
Q. How long will the survey take?
A. Typically 1/2 hour for a flat and 1 hour for a house.
Q. What will the Survey be looking at?
A. The Surveyor will be looking at structural elements of the property and its general condition.
Q. How will I recognise the surveyor?
