Tenancy Sustainment - A real achievement
South Essex Homes Tenancy Sustainment Team working in Partnership with Southend Adult Community College run a regular course which is open to all residents in the borough. The Course comprises four modules over a four week period covering a wide range of topics and attendees are encouraged and supported to take their numeracy and literacy qualifications.
Recently South Essex Homes and Southend Adult Community College held a get together to present Numeracy and Literacy Certificates to all of those residents who had taken their exams when they attended a Tenancy Sustainment Course.
The objective of the course is to sustain tenancies, reduce evictions and anti social behaviour, but also encourage new tenants to maintain independent living, further education and employment.
Paul Davey, Tenancy Services Manager said “The Tenancy Sustainment team have worked well with partnership organisations to help build relationships and give opportunities to residents by way of the course and outreach work. The comments I received from the recent get together was both positive and encouraging that the Tenancy Sustainment team had made such a difference to their lives”.

It really has made a difference to our residents lives, dont just take our word for it, click on the link below or download our leaflet for more information.
