Southenders is a special photographic exhibition that introduces a vibrant group of proud Southenders. The Southenders exhibition is developed by South Essex Homes in partnership with Southend-on- Sea Borough Council, presents captivating photographic and autobiographical portraits of 20 Southend residents. These include details of people who originally lived in different parts of the globe, from Sri Lanka to Albania, but who now share a common interest. They all live in - and love - Southend. The exhibiton covers members of the community who represent all six equality strands. The aim of the exhibition is to break down stereotypical views and promote community cohesion.
