South Essex Homes is the Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, which means that we're responsible for the management and maintenance of the Council's homes. South Essex Homes is a Company Limited by Guarantee.

We were formed in October 2005, and from the outset have been determined to constantly improve the way we deliver our services. We have started on delivering a programme of major improvements to tenant's homes and are working hard to bring all properties up to the Decent Homes Standard. For many residents this will include a combination of new bathrooms, renewed electrical systems, new energy efficient heating, or a new roof - and this programme of improvements is set to continue for a number of years.

We believe it is vital that we put our customers at the heart of our business, so we are focusing on delivering services that are designed around their needs and aspirations. We know that our customers want high quality housing services, and they want these services delivered efficiently, and effectively.
