Phil Lyons

I’m Chair of South Essex Homes’ Management Board, and the last year has been challenging in lots of ways. I joined the Board in 2005 and I'm a local resident. I've learned a great deal about housing and what local people think - which has been a real eye-opener.
The majority of people are understandably most interested in their own home, neighbourhood and local services. So I spend a lot of time going around the borough to visit staff and residents and finding out what things are like on the ground.

My aim
I’m particularly interested in helping South Essex Homes to:
Provide an excellent service.

I joined South Essex Homes as in independent member in 2005. I’m proud of what South Essex Homes has done in the past year, but it's clear that there’s a long way to go. We can and will achieve success by working together as a strong team and by involving residents so that we know what improvements people want.

My aim
I’m particularly interested in helping South Essex Homes to:
Meet the Decent Homes Standard.
