Sheltered scheme quiz champs receive prize shield Nicholson House residents were celebrating this morning, after receiving the ‘Sheltered Inter-scheme Quiz’ shield.
The residents took part in the Sheltered Inter-scheme quiz last November, which involved all South Essex Homes sheltered schemes being asked the same set of quiz questions simultaneously.
The prize shield was handed over by Tony Simpson, 75, who represented last year’s winners, Trafford House in Leigh. It was received by Nicholson House’s eldest resident, 100-year-old Eric Christensen, along with fellow resident Bill Nattrass, 85.
Tony joked while handing it over: “Look after it please, as we want it back next year!”
The residents also received a small replica shield which they get to keep as a record of their triumph, and a £100 voucher to spend in Asda for a social event.
