September #BeFireSafe campaign is launched
Published: Monday, 4th September 2017
We have launched an online campaign aimed at reassuring residents about fire safety and helping them to ‘Be Fire Safe’.
As you may already know, a four page feature on fire safety was included in the most recent issue of Insight magazine - providing information to residents about preventing fire and preparing for the eventuality, as well as offering advice and reassurance.
We wanted to continue to promote these important messages and have therefore launched the social media campaign, which started on Friday on Facebook and Twitter and will run throughout September. We would encourage residents and staff to like our Facebook page ‘South Essex Homes’ and follow us on Twitter @SouthEssexHomes, and like, share and retweet our posts on this subject with the hashtag #BeFireSafe so we can get these important messages out to as many residents as possible.
The campaign involves a series of 22 colour coded infographics, one for each working day of the month, which break down fire safety information under four different topics:
Prevent (Red) – Everyday steps residents can take to prevent fires from starting
Prepare (Orange) – Things that can be done now to prepare for the event of a fire
Advise (Yellow) – What residents should do if a fire was to occur in their building
Reassure (Blue) – information on what South Essex Homes and the Council are doing regarding fire safety along with their community partners
Please get involved in this campaign and help Southend residents to #BeFireSafe!
