Mike Gatrell delivers award to Margaret Hutchings and her team.
Earlier this year, the Careline service managed and maintained by South Essex Homes gained accreditation in the ‘Integrated Code of Practice – Telecare’ from the Telecare Services Association (TSA).
The glass commemorative award has now arrived and was presented by South Essex Homes' Chief Executive Mike Gatrell to Margaret Hutchings and the Careline team earlier this week.
Mike said: “These awards are not given out easily, the expected standard is very high, so Margaret and her team have done extremely well to earn this award. The Careline service provided by South Essex Homes is a great asset to our company and one that we should all be very proud of. Well done to all involved in the service and please keep up the excellent work!”
The TSA conducted a full audit of the Careline service in December 2014, where it assessed Southend Careline in terms of service tailoring, installation and monitoring. The accreditation is valid for three years until December 2017 however this will be subject to annual inspections by the TSA’s Auditors.
Margaret Hutchings, Supported Housing Sheltered and Careline Services Manager, said: “It is very important for us to ensure that Southend Careline continues to provide a thorough and reliable service to our 3,500 customers – which is why we have registered for accreditation with the TSA. We are delighted to have received accreditation for our service but will not rest on our laurels – we will continue to strive to provide the best possible service for the residents of Southend.”
